Judge Pavel Neretin of the Sverdlovsk Regional Court sentenced 41-year-old former participant in the war in Ukraine, Vladimir Alexandrov, to life imprisonment, finding him guilty of raping and killing an 11-year-old girl in Nizhny Tagil, as well as raping a 20-year-old girl and unlawfully depriving her of freedom, reported a correspondent of «Mediazona»* from the courtroom. The court also ordered him to pay 8 million rubles to the father of the deceased girl.
In Yakutia, a district court sentenced Alexey Mikhaylov, a participant in the war in Ukraine, to six years in a strict regime colony for stabbing an acquaintance, reported the court's press service. The 40-year-old Mikhaylov from the village of Ust-Nera stabbed an acquaintance in the neck during an argument. When passing the sentence, the court recognized participation in the war as a mitigating circumstance.
In the Belgorod region, the military investigative bodies of the Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case of murder and rape against Russian private Alexey Kostrikin, the agency reported. Kostrikin killed the homeowner in the village of Novaya Tavolzhanka, then raped his wife and fled, he was detained a few hours later.
The local publication «Fonar» writes that the deceased was an employee of a «large Shebekino enterprise» and helped Russian military personnel. His wife, according to the publication, works as a school teacher.
