Komleva appealed to the Supreme Court of Bashkortostan, requesting consideration of the fact that she cannot speak. Initially, the appeal hearing was closed, and then it was postponed. RusNews reports that the court will resume when Komleva regains her speech.
Meanwhile, Komleva's husband reported that the journalist's condition remains unchanged.
The speech of the convicted Ufa activist and journalist disappeared on September 8 in the detention center in Dyurtyuli.
In July, Komleva was sentenced to 12 years in a penal colony on charges of military "fakes" and cooperation with the FBK**. The details of the charges are still unknown, as all hearings were held in closed sessions.
