In a rented apartment in Yerevan, the body of 23-year-old Chechen Aishat Baymuradova, who had been missing since October 17, was found dead, reported the Armenian police.
Baymuradova left Chechnya and moved to Armenia with the help of a human rights organization that assists women from the North Caucasus.
Activist Daniil Chebykin reported that the girl did not return from a walk on the evening of October 15 and stopped answering calls. Before that, she told her roommates that she was going to meet a friend she met on Instagram. Among Baymuradova's new acquaintance's followers, people from the entourage of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov were later found. Friends did not rule out that the girl might have been kidnapped and contacted the police.
On October 19, a person called the police and reported finding the girl's body in one of the rented apartments on Demirchyan Street, it turned out to be Baymuradova. Armenian law enforcement appointed examinations and are investigating the circumstances of the girl's death, a preliminary investigation is underway.
