The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, shared details of his phone conversation with the President of the USA on his Telegram channel.
«I congratulated President Trump on his success and the agreement for the Middle East, which he truly secured, and this is a strong result. And if it is possible to stop a war in that region, surely other wars can be stopped, including this Russian war», — wrote Zelensky, adding that the conversation also touched on events in Ukraine. In particular, Zelensky informed the head of the White House about the Russian strikes on energy.
According to Zelensky, they discussed possibilities to strengthen the Ukrainian air defense system. «There are good options, strong ideas on how to really strengthen us. The readiness of the Russians to engage in genuine diplomacy is needed. This can be ensured through strength. Thank you, Mr. President», — added Zelensky.
