The Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case on the dissemination of «fakes» about the Russian Armed Forces against blogger Pavel Syutkin, TASS reported, citing the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee in Moscow.

The suspect was taken to the Investigative Committee «for investigative actions». He will soon be charged and a preventive measure will be chosen.

According to the investigation, Syutkin posted publications with «deliberately false information» about the Russian army against the civilian population of Ukraine on his Telegram channel.

Earlier, z-bloggers and propagandists demanded to «check» Syutkin, indicating that the historian is a «Russophobe and pro-Ukrainian».

Pavel Syutkin — candidate of historical sciences, member of the commission on gastronomic tourism at Rostourism, writer, TV and radio host. He is the author of books on Russian cuisine and often appeared as an expert in culinary programs on federal channels.
