On September 24, Ukraine attacked Novorossiysk, where the Black Sea Fleet is based, with unmanned boats (UB) and strike drones. According to the operational headquarters of the Krasnodar Territory, at least two people died, and six were injured.
In the city center, six residential buildings and a hotel building were damaged, debris fell on parked cars. A state of emergency was declared in Novorossiysk, reported the head of the city.
During the drone attack, the office of the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) was also damaged, reported RBC. Two people were injured with varying degrees of severity. “The work of the administrative office is temporarily suspended, the staff has been evacuated. As a result of the attack, there are seriously injured people in the building where the CPC office is located, not among the company's employees,” stated CPC.
CPC is an international oil transportation company. More than 80% of Kazakh oil is transported through its networks, and non-sanctioned oil from Kazakhstan reaches tankers in Novorossiysk through its “Kropotkinskaya” station and is exported to Europe.
On February 17, after a strike by seven drones on the CPC “Kropotkinskaya” station, the pumping of Kazakh oil decreased by 30%. On March 19, after an attack by three UAVs on the oil station, a fire broke out.
