The FSB reported the detention of a Russian citizen in Klimovsk, Moscow region, suspected of financing the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to law enforcement, he planned to go to Ukraine to participate in combat against Russian troops.
According to the investigation, in 2024-2025, the man transferred money to accounts "used for financial assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine." He also "encouraged others to join formations" that fight against the Russian Armed Forces.
In the published video of the arrest and interrogation, the accused repeats the entire charge as formulated by the investigation.
A case of treason has been initiated against the detainee, and the court has placed him under arrest.
On September 10, a Moscow resident received 10 years in prison for recruiting Russians into the "Russian Volunteer Corps"*.
