60-year-old professor of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics Vadim Saltykovsky was arrested on charges of treason, TASS reported citing the court's press service.
The case of treason against Saltykovsky V.A was submitted to the Lefortovo Court of Moscow back on July 29, with the investigation petitioning for his arrest. "Important Stories"* then suggested that it was about the Doctor of Economic Sciences from Plekhanov Russian University of Economics. Today, the information was officially confirmed.
Saltykovsky is a Doctor of Economic Sciences who taught courses on world economy at the university. Currently, the mention of the lecturer has disappeared from the university's website.
In addition, Saltykovsky is the deputy chairman of the committee on economic cooperation with Asian and Oceanian countries at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. In this capacity, he participated in a meeting of the chambers of commerce of the Kursk region and Pyongyang on March 1.
