The security forces reported the detention of a resident of Kerch in a case of cooperation with Ukrainian special services. He is charged with 'treason'.
'It was established that a resident of Kerch, born in 2003, established and maintained confidential cooperation with the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (GUR MO). On the curator's assignment, he arrived at the location of one of the military units and, using photo and video documentation tools, recorded the locations of air defense systems, as well as other military objects of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation stationed on the peninsula,' said the statement of the FSB Public Relations Center. It is noted that the information obtained was passed to a representative of Ukrainian intelligence on Telegram.
The suspect confessed and is giving testimony, according to the FSB. On camera, the detainee stated that on January 30, he watched a YouTube video calling for sharing information about the location of Russian military units. The next day, the Crimean resident contacted a representative of the Ukrainian special services via Telegram and sent him screenshots from Google Maps, where, according to him, the objects of the Russian Ministry of Defense are located. After this, the young man was asked to send photos of the objects.
As a preventive measure, the court chose to detain the detainee in custody.
