It was accused of educating Russian youth 'within the framework of the concept of Western countries' dominance in the world community'

According to the Prosecutor General's Office, Young Presidents Organization was involved in training and educating future opinion leaders in the interests of the USA. One of the main functions of YPO 'is the relocation of young promising specialists to the West', and the organization's activities are aimed at 'educating Russian youth within the framework of the concept of Western countries' dominance in the world community', the agency believes.

'The organization is engaged in stimulating protest activity among the population, promoting and expanding informational pressure on Russia through representatives of the economic sector. It interacts with US law enforcement agencies and organizations whose activities are recognized as undesirable in the territory of the Russian Federation. Since the beginning of the special military operation, YPO has been involved in promoting the policies of unfriendly states regarding the Russian-Ukrainian conflict', the statement notes. Another accusation is that Young Presidents Organization actively promotes and supports the activities of the LGBT* community.

YPO was founded in 1950 and unites business representatives. According to its data, it has more than 35,000 members from 140 countries. The office is located in New York. To qualify for membership in the organization, a candidate must become a president, chairman, or chief executive officer of a corporation before reaching the age of 45. There were two YPO divisions operating in Russia — nationwide and Moscow.

The register of 'undesirable' organizations has been maintained in Russia since 2015, and currently, it has more than 200 entries.
