The US expanded sanctions against Russia. The list included several deputy ministers of defense, including Anna Tsivileva, whom the media call Vladimir Putin's cousin.

Tsivileva is the daughter of Vladimir Putin's cousin and the wife of the former governor of the Kemerovo region, now Minister of Energy Sergey Tsivilev. In 2018, she became the owner of 70% of the company "Kolmar," one of the largest Russian coal mining enterprises. In 2023, Tsivileva headed the state fund supporting war participants "Defenders of the Fatherland."

Since June of this year, she became the deputy minister of defense of the Russian Federation Andrey Belousov. Since August 2024, Tsivileva holds the position of state secretary — deputy minister of defense. Vladimir Putin appointed her to this position.

Also on the sanctions list were other deputy ministers of defense — Pavel Fradkov, Andrey Bulyga, and Alexander Fomin. The list included legal entities: tire manufacturer "Cordiant," company "Chip and Dale," NPP "Zvezda," and MAI.

The US Department of the Treasury announced sanctions against 275 individuals and legal entities associated with the supply of technology and equipment for Russia's military industry. These actions are aimed at preventing the circumvention of sanctions and include companies and individuals from 17 countries, including China, India, Switzerland, Turkey, and Thailand.

More than 150 Russian enterprises were sanctioned, including manufacturers of military equipment, components, and aviation equipment.

The list includes financial intermediaries and companies that help Russia obtain critically important components for military production. This includes companies from Turkey and China supplying dual-use goods and microelectronics used for weapon production. The Department of the Treasury also imposed sanctions against several companies from Belarus and China related to the export of dual-use goods for the Russian military-industrial complex, as well as companies supporting Russia's military activities through financial support and corporate services.
